Males, most commonly suffer from pattern baldness. It usually begins from the top of the forehead and the crown. However, in almost all the cases hairs presents at the side of both the ears and behind are mostly unaffected. In some cases, baldness occurs only at the front, but in some severe cases it spreads and covers the entire crown. However, regardless of the severity of baldness, there will always be a patch of permanent hair, in the shape of horseshoe, present at the sides and the back of head. Hair fall does not occur in this area because these hair follicles are genetically resistant to the hormone dihydrotestosterone that is mainly responsible for hair fall. This region of permanent hair growth helps in your hair transplantation. As these hair strands withstand hair fall, they are transplanted to the bald areas. They grow and survive permanently, covering your bald patches.
There are two type of procedures of hair transplant which can be offerred individually or in combination depending on your severity and requirement. After the surgery the patient can go back home on the same day of the surgery. But, there might be some swelling in the forehead for few days. Patient is The patient is not allowed to wash hair before the stitches are removed, that might take about a week.
After ten to twelve days of getting a hair transplant, the patient will observe hair growth is the affected regions. These new hairs are life long and are resistant to hair fall permanently. But, sometimes patient’s original hair might start falling after the surgery. In that case, the hair transplant procedure is performed again after six months. This will make the bald area dense.
Those men, who have very few or no permanent hair present at the back or sides of their head, cannot go for the hair transplant process. The reason behind this is that the hair taken for the procedure of hair transplant must be healthy and capable of regrowth. But, it is very difficult to extract hair from region with thin or no growth.
There are many types of hair transplant techniques. But, out of all the techniques- FUE has been the most popular and successful.
FUE hair transplantation is also known as Follicular Unit Extraction hair transplantation or Follicular Transfer (FT). The name itself suggests the meaning of the technique. It is a process in which a group of two to four hair follicles is extracted from the donor region. This technique has broadened the scope of hair transplant procedures. Now, with this technique, it is possible to extract hair follicles from different body parts other than the head, such as beard, upper back, and chest. So, these body hair follicles can then be transplanted on the head.
Before you opt for FUE hair transplant you must go through the conditions that are required for undergoing the procedure. So, check out the list given ahead.
The first and foremost requirement for undergoing FUE hair transplant is that the patient having baldness should not be more than Norwood stage two.
Secondly, only those men can go for FUE hair transplant in Delhi who has or want short haircuts.
Patients who have to go for hair transplant from body to scalp can opt for it
Those patients who require repair or corrections in their prior transplant can also go for FUE.
Patients who have previously gone through FUT transplant procedre and now, have a tight scalp, should choose FUE hair transplant in Delhi.
Also, if the patient has any scar from a surgery or a burn mark, FUT will be a good option.
A highly-advanced technique of hair transplantation, Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) is performed in a way, which imitates the pattern of natural hair growth and is an ideal choice for people who have large bald areas on their head. This procedure involves removing an entire strip of hair from a “donor area” where hair fall is less and hair growth is still thick. The area from where the strip is taken is sutured leaving a linear scar on the scalp. The strip containing the hair follicles is divided into grafts consisting of one or two follicles. The follicular units contain sebaceous glands (oil glands), nerves, a tiny muscle, and some fine hairs called vellus hairs. Thousands of these follicular unit grafts are placed into tiny incisions made on the bald areas of the patient’s scalp, also known as the “recipient areas,” in a single session. The hair growth from these grafts follows a very natural growth pattern, giving away no tell-tale signs of surgery.
It is wrongly assumed by many people that short hair does not fall and long hairs fall more. This is wrong. It is always preferable to leave long hairs as it length adds to volume and therefore looks better.
