During breast implant surgery

Breast implant surgery is generally done under general anesthesia that takes one to two hours to complete the procedure. The duration of the complete procedure can vary depending on the type of implant, the location of the incision, and the technique used by your surgeon’s. However, there are following steps are typical during a breast implant procedure:

Anesthesia: Before the surgery, general anesthesia is given to the patient to ensure that the patient  are comfortable throughout the procedure.

Incision: The surgeon will make an incision in one of several locations, including in the armpit, around the nipple, or under the breast fold. The incision size and location will depend on the type of implant and the patient’s anatomy.

Pocket creation: The surgeon will create a pocket for the implant either above or below the muscle. The location of the pocket will be determined based on the patient’s anatomy, the surgeon’s preference, the type of implant.

Placement of the Implant: The implant is inserted through the incision and positioned within the pocket. If required, the surgeon may adjust the position of the implant to get the desired result.
